A Little Bit About Me
I returned to college at 39 years old determined to actually graduate from a program. Initially, I was accepted by the Ohio University Communications Program; however, after a year in the program and many hours spent in Psychology classes, I decided my true love was, indeed, Psychology. I switched majors; and, I obtained a position as a Case Manager for a Behavioral Health agency and provided services to those individuals residing in an assisted living environment; and, I served, at a different agency, as a Life Skills Trainer to individuals who suffered severe brain injuries. In Fall 2006, I graduated with a Bachelor's of Psychology. In January 2007, I began a Master's program at the Lindsey Wilson College, School of Professional Counseling. At the end of February 2008, I began working at a Drug and Alcohol agency as a Counselor providing Individual, Group and Case Management in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
