I obtained a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Arizona State University in 2002. Thereafter I worked in a community mental health clinic in Tucson, AZ providing counseling to adults, the majority of whom were contending with severe mental illness.
After moving to Los Alamos in 2004, I worked at Los Alamos Family Council and the school based health clinic at Pojoaque High School where I treated adults, adolescents and their families experiencing behavioral health concerns before entering private practice in 2011.
Currently I work with adults coping with Mood Disorders for example episodes of major depression, post-partum onset depression, and the spectrum of Bipolar Affective illness. I also work with adults with Anxiety Disorders, substance abuse problems, adjustment difficulties causing distress, as well as grief and loss. I am EMDRIA trained in EMDR which is an evidence based treatment for PTSD and single incident trauma.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband, our animals, and being outside on my bike or looking for interesting rocks in the beautiful landscapes of New Mexico.
