Ms. Beyerle has been with the Los Alamos Medical Care Clinic since 2008. She provides for the skin care needs of Northern New Mexico under the supervision of Dr. Lori Whitey and Dr. James Ziomek.
Monique is able to accommodate such dermatological needs as: actinic keratoses, acne including extractions, cysts, dermatitis, fungal infections, molluscum infections, psoriasis, rashes, rosacea, seborrheic keratoses, skin cancer screenings and treatments, skin infections, skin tags, verrucae, and viral infections. She is able to perform minor surgical procedures including biopsies, destructive treatments, and excisions. She is also a registered ipledge provider.
Monique completed her Physician Assistant training at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at San Diego State University where she worked with athletes from many different sports teams and earned her certificate as an Athletic Trainer.
With a background as a navy corpsman, Monique’s initial assignment allowed her to serve the Marine’s Third Force Service Support Group on the tropical island of Okinawa, Japan. She then attended physical therapy technician school through the Navy and moved to San Diego where she worked in the PT department at Balboa Hospital for three years.
Her medical interests include: acne, skin cancer, and community health education.
In her spare time, Monique enjoys hiking, bike riding, traveling, and photography. The apples of Monique’s eye are her two North Carolina pound puppies Piper and Max, and her most recent addition is a Los Alamos Animal Shelter gem named Zoe. She is also a proud Tía to three sweet, sassy, beautiful, southern girls.
